(FILL IN YOUR OWN DETAILS HERE)Textpresso is an information extracting and processing package for C. elegans literature developed by Hans-Michael Muller, and Eimear Kenny with contributions from Juancarlos Chan. We are part of the WormBase group at the California Institute of Technology , California. Textpresso is a web-based application that runs off a 2800MHz Intel Xeon Pentium dual processor Linux server with about 3.0 Gb memory. Please let us know if you are having problems accessing or browsing Textpresso. The Textpresso system is very much a developing application and is currently undergoing rounds of beta testing. If you think you have found a bug or would like to request a feature, you can submit a bug report . When a stable version is achieved, Textpresso will be released under the GNU General Public License (GPL) as a program for Linux.
The Textpresso site includes:
- 2,756 CGC papers and 551 PMID papers
- 5,647 CGC, 7,535 worm meeting and 2,840 Worm Breeders Gazette abstracts.
- 14,546 Textpresso Ontology terms (which incorporate Gene Ontology terms).

Textpresso is supported by a grant from National Human Genome Research Institute at the US National Institutes of Health (PI: Paul Sternberg) and is part of the Generic Model Organism System Database (GMOD) effort. GMOD is a project to develop a set of software modules used in developing databases containing information about the genomes and biology of laboratory organisms.
